The four main passenger carriages seat 24 people in 4-person bench seat configuration. Four carriages were built in 1989/90 with parts from the Lake Grassmere salt collection railway.
They are all the same design except for carriage No. 4, which has an underslung compartment for jacks etc. for use in a derailment or the like as can be seen in the photo with the yellow underslung area.
All passenger rolling stock is air braked. In the track work-train there are typically a ballast wagon, two flat deck wagons, a tool wagon and a staff car. The flattop wagon is a very versatile wagon able to take the weight of our digger, which saves us time and allows us to deliver our machine effectivly to the area we need to attend too.
We have a six man jigger, two man and a four man jigger, all ex NZR. As well as our jiggers we have an in house built hand trolley, a track sprayer wagon and a grass mower on railway wheels, bolster bogies capable of carrying a digger and other storage wagons.
Above two photos show our materials flat top and our utility wagon with generator and track building equipment.
